The Crossover Skills Academy

The Idaho Select coaching staff directs several events through out the year including camps, academies and tournaments. Below are some of those events along with a brief description of each. For more detail, click on the event to go to a detailed page.

The BAM Jam - "B-ball for all"
Idaho's biggest 3 on 3 basketball tournament moves INDOORS to Taco Bell Arena
Players: Anyone and everyone
Structure: Two (2) game guarentee for all teams
Timing: March 13, 2010
>>BAM Jam is Idaho's biggest 3 on 3 basketball tournament with both a spring (March) and summer (August) version

Idaho Select Spring Tryout and Program
Players: Boys currently in the 8th and 9th grade
Structure: Multiple sessions that will provide a platform to evaluate players in a competitive situation
Timing: March through May
>>This program begins with the team tryout in March and goes through May with several tournaments in the Northwest

Idaho Junior Phenom Camp
The 2009 camp had over 20 cities represented
Players: Boys that are currently in the 5th-8th grade
Structure: Multiple day camp made up of games, skill structure and breakout sessions
Timing: April 1-3, 2010
>>The Junior Phenom camps are an adidas based camp system aimed at qualifying the best players in the nation to compete at the national camp each summer. Players of all abilities are encouraged to attend.

The Next Level camp
Players: Boys that are currently in the 4th-9th grade
Structure: Three days of work outs that focus on offensive skill development
Timing: Monday-Wednesday, Spring Break, 2010
>>The Next Level is a condensed version of The Crossover. It is 100% focused on developing offensive skills for the individual player.

The Crossover Skills Academy
Players: Boys that will enter the 6th-10th grade next fall
Structure: Weekly workouts over four consecutive weeks
Timing: Tuesday and Thursday nights in June 2010
>>The Crossover is for experienced players that want to develop more advanced skills

Idaho Select Summer Tryout (State Camp) and Program
Players: Boys that will have at least 1 year of high school eligibility remaining entering next fall
Structure: Multiple sessions that will provide a platform to evaluate players in a competitive situation
Timing: Memorial Day Weekend, 2010
>>This camp also serves as the tryout for the Idaho Select summer teams. The camp/tryout brings in players from around the state and is one of the most competitive weekends in Idaho.

The Valley Camp for Guards
Players: Boys that will be entering the 6th-10th grade next fall
Structure: Skill sessions in various categories
Timing: June 22-25, 2009

Fall Open Gym Program
Players: Boys that are currently in the 9th-12th grade
Structure: Open gym for all boys high school players
Timing: September-November
Cost: $10 per player for the entire year
>>This is an open gym for boys 9th-12th grade from all high schools. It is a chance to get ready for the high school season if you want extra time on the floor.
