Pats pass first loss to Mavericks

It wasn’t pretty at Centennial High School Tuesday night, but in the end the Patriots gutted out a 49-40 win over the previously unbeaten Mountain View Mavericks. The game was a ugly to start but we were able learn some things about both teams in this early conference match up.

#2 Centennial at #4 Mountain View Recap

In one of the biggest match ups of the year, it was the #4 ranked Mountain View Mavericks that made a case for a higher ranking with a 67-47 win over the #2 ranked Centennial Patriots, completing a season sweep.

The state’s #3 and #4 ranked teams rematch Thursday in Meridian

This Thursday night at Mountain View High School, one of the most anticipated rematches of the season will take place when the #3 ranked Centennial Patriots (11-2, 9-2) visit the #4 ranked Mountain View Mavericks (10-4, 8-4).

Steve Schroeder has sent out this week’s 5A Boys SIC stats.

Borah continues to dominate on defense (46.5 ppg) while Centennial keeps putting up big numbers (61.9 ppg) including two players that are in the top 5 in scoring.
